Random facts about songs
I love a random piece of useless information me. So Furnish me with your random facts about well known songs.

I also like finding out what songs you just hear and take for granted are actually about.

For instance:

Rich Girl by Hall and Oates was written about a bloke, but they thought 'Rich Girl' sounded better than 'Rich Guy'

Luka by Suzanne Vega is about Domestic Abuse

Coward of the County by Kenny Rogers is about Gang Rape

I shot the sheriff was a song about Birth Control (which Marley was against).

ZZ Top have one member without a beard - his surname is Beard.

Barry Manilow's hit 'I write the songs' wasn't written by him

There must be loads of well known and lesser known tid bits - tell be some of the ones you know/have heard.

Spice girls--- two becomes one
It all came about after a saucy drunken night of debauchery with scary spice and ginger spice getting wrapped up together with a double ended gigantic purple Dildo...... or so the story goes.

Voodoo Chile (Slight Return) by Jimi Hendrix was inspired by George Formby's "When I'm Cleaning Windows"
Hendrix was a great admirer of Formby

"Third Stone From The Sun" again by Hendrix, takes some of the theme tune from the opening music of Coronation St.

Chaka Khan hated the rap at the start of I Feel for you which was put in by the producer Arif Mardin who had to argue with her that it added to the song, it is by far her biggest hit and probably everyone absolutely loves the rap at the start and middle by Grandmaster Melle Mel probably more so than the rest of the song.
Thank God she never went super Diva and cut it out.

"Heroes celebrates the penchant for West Berliner youth to get it on on top of the wall in full view of the (notoriously trigger happy) East German guards.'

On top of the broken glass and beneath the razor wire? I think not. Anyway the wall was about 2" thick.
